The Hay Weekday Table was inspired by the idea of bringing people together with communal dining experiences and the joy that brings. Combining a solid, robust form with softly rounded joints, the Weekday Table conveys a sense of familiarity that invites shared mealtimes and a social occasion.
Featuring the same simple construction as the classic picnic table, it is made in strong, durable pine planks that will patinate beautifully and last for many years to come. The Weekday Dining Table’s strong yet universally appealing character combined with its water-based surface treatment makes it suitable for outside use. Perfect companion to the Crate Dining Chair designed in 1934 by Gerrit Rietveld

Hannes & Fritz is a design collaboration between German-Swiss design duo Johannes Breuer and Fritz Gräber. They met at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland. and what started as a friendship developed into a spontaneous design collaboration with the construction of a bench at a dinner party. The result was a very successful partnership and since then they have created designs for a number of international furniture companies, often starting their projects by exploring existing archetypal forms, before defining them in a more contemporary context. For HAY their most successful design is the Weekday Collection which includes the Weekday Table and Weekday Bench.
