Fritz Hansen is a name synonymous with classic Danish furniture and design. The company, also known as Republic of Fritz Hansen was founded in Copenhagen in 1872 by Danish cabinet maker Fritz Hansen. Over the years the brand has worked with a host of leading architects and designers, from the iconic classic designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm to more modern day titans such as Jaime Hayon and Cecilie Manz. These forward thinking collaborations have come to define Fritz Hansen who today boast a collection full of iconic modern designs including the Ant Chair, Series 7 Chair, the iconic Egg Chair and the sublime Swan Chair. These designs are much copied - a testament to their appeal and aesthetic in 20th century modern furniture design.
