Import Duties

With regards to Import duty costs there is no extra costs for the customer than the cost quoted on the website, that is your final buying price, you will not be asked to pay any customs charges. With deliveries from Europe the leadtimes can sometimes be longer than some of those shown online at times due to extra Customs checks, it is something out of our control unfortunately but on the whole we try and give the best indication we can. If you need a product for a given date please contact us before ordering and we will do our best to let you have the most accurate delivery times.

 

 

Over £1500

Free Delivery, Assembly and Removal of Packaging (Mainland UK)

Large Furniture orders over £1500.00 are handled by one of our associate delivery companies - Freight Express or RCI Deliveries dependent on the items and your location. It includes a two-man delivery team who will place your item(s) in the room of your choice, unpack and assemble (if necessary, except String system as it needs fitting to the wall) and then remove and recycle any packaging. We do not fix or secure anything to wall's or ceiling's.

The dedicated delivery company will contact you prior to delivery to arrange a day with a 2 hour time slot that is suitable for you to take the delivery. Before the delivery company get in touch one of our staff members will speak to you to let you know that your item is ready, either by E-mail or telephone. Your delivery in normal circumstances will be delivered to you within 14 working days of us getting in touch with you. Some smaller items that are deemed suitable for a quicker courier service, we will send out with DPD Local.

Please note that you are responsible for ensuring that items you order can be delivered to your property and room of choice, with safe and reasonable access from the public highway to the place of delivery. If the item cannot be delivered safely or access is limited then you are liable for 50% of the order value and the full delivery cost.

This delivery service is to the ground floor only. It is your responsibility to notify us in advance if delivery is to a higher or lower level, as this may well incur additional fees.

Under £1500

Standard Furniture Under £1500.00 - Free Delivery over £100.00

Furniture orders under £1500.00 will be either delivered by DPD Local if they are of a suitable size or with a palletised service if deemed too large for DPD. The DPD service is a 9:00 am until 5:00 pm service on a given day (Monday to Friday), the delivery can be tracked and a timeslot will be issued which will be sent to you on the morning of the delivery. Saturday deliveries are an extra £25.00 We don't offer assembly or to take away packaging with this free service. Under £100.00 order value there will be a £6.50 charge.

If the item(s) you have ordered are too large for DPD Local then the furniture will be delivered on a pallet which is a kerbside/ground floor service. The company we use is Palletways and they offer a timeslot on a given day (Monday to Friday) for the delivery. This service means the delivery will be brought onto your driveway only and you will have to get it into the property yourself and dispose of the packaging (including pallet if driver can't take it). The driver won't be able to help get the delivery into your property so please make sure someone is available to assist with removing the items from the pallet. We use an economical pallet service so we can offer the best possible prices for the products we sell, this can be upgraded to a "White Glove 2 Man Service" which includes bringing it into the property, assembling if required, taking away packaging and recycling it. We do recommend this service on larger furniture items (specifically USM Furniture), if you have a query or question about an item you are interested in do contact us for our advice.

From the moment a carrier attempts to deliver the goods they are your full responsibility and you are to accept the goods when they are ready to be delivered. If a delivery is refused or you are not there to accept the pre-arranged delivery, then the additional cost of delivery and re-delivery would be at your cost.

Your Delivery

Damages or issues, making a claim... what to do

Please inspect the goods thoroughly before accepting delivery and providing a signature for receipt. If there is any damage or any missing items, please inform the showroom on 01423 524777 within 24 hours. In the unlikely event of damage we need the customer to take detailed photos of the damage and also pictures of the packaging in order for us to process your claim. If you don't do this we will not be able to process your claim.

If for any reason your order is incorrect we will sort this out for you along with the supplier as quickly and efficiently as we can.

Lights - Free Delivery (Mainland UK)

All lights will be delivered by DPD Local. This courier service is a 9:00 am until 5:00 pm service on a given day (Monday to Friday), the delivery can be tracked and a timeslot will be given. Saturday deliveries are an extra £25.00. Some lights that are too large or are ordered in bulk will be delivered by Palletways on a palletised service. We offer no light fitting service.

Deliveries outside the UK

Please contact us for deliveries outside of the UK, we do deliver to Northern Ireland regularly but there will be a cost. We can arrange this to some other countries at a cost. To contact us about delivery outside of the UK click here.

Delivery Times

Delivery times vary between suppliers but can be anywhere from 1 to 16 weeks dependent on supplier and product. We try to indicate on each item delivery times but these are guidelines and an expected delivery time will be given to you once the order has been placed, normally within 10 days. We do carry some items in stock which will be delivered within 3 working days in normal circumstances.

Please note: During August and December European factories close. Some items ordered around these times will be subject to an additional 2 to 3 week delivery time.
