Autumn in Copenhagen – Scandinavian Design Inspiration from Our Trip
Last week we spent a week in Copenhagen, mixing work with a little autumn getaway. We’ve always loved the Danish capital, but seeing it in all its autumn colours made it feel even more magical. Copenhagen in autumn truly showcases the best of Scandinavian design, architecture, and lifestyle understated, warm, and beautifully detailed.

A Visit to the &Tradition Showroom
One of the highlights of our trip was a tour of the &Tradition showroom a stunning space that never fails to inspire. The mix of textures, colours, and materials set against the building’s striking architecture was a treat for the senses.
We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of &Tradition’s upcoming spring launches, and we can’t wait to share them with you over the next few months. The new pieces showcase a perfect balance of craftsmanship, contemporary form, and timeless appeal.
It was also great to see the Rombe shelving and Hi-Lo sofa collections in person both arriving in our Cimmermann showroom this week.

Exploring the Vitra Showroom at Nordhavn Harbour
We stayed in Nordhavn, a beautifully redeveloped area by the harbour. While there, we stopped by the Vitra showroom, which features the newly reimagined Eames collection. Seeing the updated colours and finishes in real life made us fall in love with the range all over again. The new European wood collection in particular is stunning — tactile, warm, and very much in tune with the Nordic aesthetic we adore.

Design Inspiration at HAY House
No trip to Copenhagen is complete without a visit to HAY House in the city centre. It’s a must-see for anyone interested in modern Scandinavian design. We were inspired by new pieces such as the Layout Chair, the Pastis table and chairs, and the perforated cabinets. HAY continues to set the tone for contemporary design that’s both functional and full of personality.
We’ve also had a glimpse recently of some exciting new outdoor furniture from HAY coming early next year and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Other places we loved this time:
Beyond the showrooms, we took time to explore some of Copenhagen’s best local spots:
La Cabra, Nordhavn – a newly opened café serving some of the best coffee in Copenhagen in a beautifully minimalist space.
Åben – ideal for a cosy autumn evening drink, with a great atmosphere and a perfectly curated interior.
Saunahouse – we tried an amazing saunagus session overlooking the harbour relaxing, invigorating, and a true Nordic wellness experience complete with icy dips.
The Deer Park (Dyrehaven), Klampenborg – just north of the city, this peaceful park is home to hundreds of deer roaming freely among ancient oak trees. Visiting in autumn is breathtaking the golden leaves, crisp air, and calm setting make it the perfect escape from the city and a reminder of Denmark’s deep connection to nature.
Tivoli Gardens – a magical place during Halloween, full of lights, colour, and that distinct Copenhagen charm.
