First designed in 1928, the Cesca is celebrated for its innovative use of tubular steel, which replaced the conventional four-legged structure with a continuous cantilevered frame.
Unlike the upholstered version, this stool features a hand-woven cane seat and back, framed in solid beech wood. The natural texture of the cane contrasts with the polished steel or matt painted frame, giving the design a distinctive balance of industrial precision and traditional craftsmanship. Its open construction keeps the silhouette light, making it particularly effective in contemporary kitchens and informal dining spaces.
