In Holland where Hella Jongerius was born “Polder” refers to the artificial land reclaimed from the sea by means of dykes and drainage canals. The body of the Polder Sofa is just as low-lying, just as flat, and has just as much emphasis on the horizontal.
The Polder is a unique sofa that offers a design like no other. A low armrest is part of the structure on the left hand arm and at the other end a platform come table with a removable cushion positioned on it. A new smaller Polder Compact is also available.
