The Vitra Mikado chair has an elegant and serene appearance that aims to impress not only by its form but also through its comfort.
Whether used around home dining tables, in restaurants or for meeting rooms the Mikado is guaranteed to be a comfortable sit for as long as is needed. With upholstery on all sides the comfort is at the forefront of the design. The greatest comfort factor is the movement of the backrest. An ingeniously simple mechanism concealed beneath the seat allows the back to comfortably recline at a slight angle. Available in several fabrics and leathers there is an option for any environment.
Material: Flexible backrest, back
shell in recycled post-consumer polypropylene,
seat and backrest upholstery in polyurethane
foam. The inner seat panel is die-cast aluminium. Cover in fabric or leather, with two seams along the sides of the backrest. None of the components are glued and they can all be separated according to material for recycling. Wooden legs in natural oak or dark oak or aluminium base with powder-coated or polished finish.
