The Vitra Evo-C from Jasper Morrison is a cutting edge contemporary take on the classic and timeless cantilever chair. Produced using cutting-edge gas injection moulding technology it is made entirely from 100% recyclable polypropylene.
Morrison's creation is a real celebration of the potential of plastic as a material, with its aesthetic success matched pound for pound by the Evo-C's eco-credentials. Thanks to the unique manner in which it is made, Vitra can achieve similar strength capabilities from plastic as would normally be drawn from tubular steel, with the resulting chair being a serious candidate for a future classic. Vitra have long stood at the forefront of iconic chair design, and this tradition looks set to continue thanks to pieces like the Evo-C.

Known for thinking outside the box, Jasper Morrison is one of the most successful industrial designers of the past few decades. Together with his colleague Naoto Fukasawa, he defined the term 'super normal', which in his opinion answers the question of what 'good design' should really be.
In his work, he strives to create good examples of understated, useful and responsible design. His designs are represented in New York's Museum of Modern Art and other prominent museum collections around the world.
One of our favourites, the Glo Ball collection is a piece of classic 90s design that feels current today and his collections for Vitra include the Vitra HAL Ply Chair.
