Belleville is the name of the vibrant Paris neighbourhood where the designers have their design studio. The chair has a very familiar shape taking inspiration from the classic furnishings of the typical Parisian bistro, yet at the same time is new and exciting.
It is a very technical plastic/wood chair consisting of two components - a structural frame and a seat shell. The slanted slimline armrests add another design feature to the Belleville Arm Chair. Part of a much larger family including tables, leather and fabric chairs this range appeals to both the home and contract market especially as the chair can be stacked 6 high.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec were born in France in the 1970's, they studied at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Cergy-Pontoise. The brothers are noted for their design work, which has been featured in publications and museums globally — and spans a wide range from tables and chairs to tableware, rugs, textile walls, office furniture, ceramics, art objects and urban projects.
They have a fantastic relationship with Hay in Denmark, as well as Vitra in Switzerland who let them create their unique, innovative designs. Without doubt the Boroullec's designs are set to become Design Classics of the future.
