The Messina Umbrella is designed to do one thing well - provide shade, simply and reliably.
Its construction is clear. A frame in lacquered, FSC-certified kapur wood, chosen for durability and stability. The form is clean, reduced to what is needed to support and shelter. The textile is robust and weather-resistant, treated to repel water and dirt while offering maximum UV protection (UPF50+). Built for long days outdoors, season after season. A double pulley system ensures smooth, uncomplicated opening. The experience is effortless, as it should be. The parasols are available with a 50kg umbrella foot for a stable base. A functional object, resolved with care, made to stand quietly, and perform consistently.
Materials: FSC-Certified solid Kapur Wood (Lacquered). Kapur wood was chosen due to its strength and weather-resistant properties. The wood will slowly develop a beautiful patina over time. Shades - Off-White - 100% spun polyester (Teflon treated). Striped choices - 100% solution dyed acrylic. Optional Base- Concrete and Stainless steel.
