The Knoll MR Coffee Table by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe brings a sculptural quality to the everyday living space.
Designed in 1927, it reflects the designer’s early experiments with tubular steel, using a restrained geometric frame to support a simple, elegant tabletop.
The polished chrome-plated steel base creates a light, open structure, while the circular glass top keeps the overall design visually uncluttered. The contrast between the reflective metal and transparent glass allows the table to sit comfortably alongside upholstered seating without dominating the room. Its curved supports provide a distinctive detail that rewards a closer look.
Part of the influential MR collection, this coffee table is a natural choice for interiors that appreciate modernist design and carefully resolved proportions. Place it in front of a sofa or pair it with other pieces from the collection for a cohesive arrangement.
Materials:Frame and legs are tubular and rectangular steel welded together, polished mirror finish. Top in 12mm thick polished plate glass.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was a German-American architect. He was commonly referred to as Mies, his surname. Along with Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier, Walter Gropius and Frank Lloyd Wright, he is regarded as one of the pioneers of Modernist Architecture & Design. His Barcelona chair is one of modern design's true classics, often imitated but never bettered.
