The Knoll Florence Knoll Two-Seater Sofa reflects Florence Knoll’s belief that furniture should be as carefully composed as the architecture around it.
Designed in 1954, the sofa embodies her restrained modernist aesthetic, combining precise proportions with a clearly defined frame and generous upholstered seating. Its exposed steel structure creates a crisp outline around the seat and back cushions, giving the sofa a tailored appearance without feeling heavy.
A choice of upholstery fabrics and leathers allows you to introduce colour, texture or a more understated finish, while the polished chrome frame provides a distinctive contrast to the soft upholstery. With its compact two-seat format, this sofa suits smaller living rooms, reception areas and offices where considered design matters as much as comfort. Materials: Exposed metal frame and legs in heavy gauge steel with polished chrome finish, Inner frame is solid wood. Seat suspension with No-Sag springs. Arm, seat and back cushions multi-density foam welted and tufted. Seat and Back cushions are 'quilted' with buttons for the Leather version and without buttons for the Fabric versions.

Florence Knoll was an American architect, furniture designer, interior designer and entrepreneur who has been credited with revolutionising office design and bringing modernist design to office interiors. Florence studied under some of the greatest 20th century architects, including Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
