The Knoll Brno Flat Bar Armchair with Armpads is a defining example of modernist furniture design by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
Originally created for the celebrated Tugendhat House in Brno, the chair distils the architectural principles of simplicity and precision into a striking cantilevered form. Its flat polished-chrome frame supports the upholstered seat without visible connections, creating the impression that the chair floats above its base. Integrated arm pads add comfort, while the cushioned seat and back are available in a choice of fabrics and leathers, allowing the chair to be tailored to its surroundings.
