The HAY New Order Shelving System Combination 205, designed by Stefan Diez, offers a clever balance of accessible shelving and concealed storage in a compact, contemporary design.
Developed to bring greater flexibility to modern living and working environments, this wall-mounted configuration combines the practicality of an open display shelf with the convenience of an integrated high drawer, creating a functional storage solution without taking up unnecessary floor space.
A defining feature of Combination 205 is its handle-free drawer, incorporating an intuitive push-to-open mechanism and soft-close functionality for smooth, effortless everyday use. The combination of open and closed storage provides room for books, accessories and frequently used essentials, while allowing smaller belongings to be kept neatly out of sight. Its streamlined construction and clean geometric lines give the shelving unit a refined industrial aesthetic that works effortlessly within contemporary interiors.
Constructed with a powder-coated aluminium frame, the New Order collection is designed around modularity and adaptability. Its interchangeable components and choice of finishes offer opportunities to personalise the system, making it suitable for a variety of settings, from home offices and living spaces to creative studios and professional environments.
Combining intelligent storage with understated architectural design, the HAY New Order Combination 205 is an elegant solution for interiors where space, organisation and modern functionality are equally important.
