Hay Layout Armchair 241

Created to support the changing demands of modern working environments, this versatile designer office chair balances ergonomic comfort, practical adjustability and considered material choices.

The defining feature of the Layout Armchair 241 is its sculptural polypropylene shell, characterised by a subtle opening in the backrest. This distinctive detail gives the chair a sense of visual lightness while providing natural, responsive support. Made from at least 96% post-consumer recycled polypropylene, the shell reflects HAY's commitment to more responsible furniture production without compromising on durability or design. Designed for flexibility throughout the working day, the Layout 241 features a five-star cast aluminium swivel base, a height-adjustable gas lift and smooth-running castors. Available with polished aluminium or black powder-coated finishes, the base complements a choice of contemporary shell colours, allowing the chair to integrate effortlessly into a variety of interior schemes.

Beyond its functional qualities, the Layout Armchair 241 has been designed with longevity and circularity in mind. Every component can be disassembled for repair, refurbishment or recycling, helping to extend the product's useful life. This thoughtful approach makes it an appealing choice for design-conscious workplaces and home offices alike. Whether furnishing a dedicated home office, contemporary workspace, meeting area or professional interior, the HAY Layout Armchair 241 delivers a considered combination of comfort, mobility and modern design.
