Designed by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker for HAY, the chair is named after the classic carpentry tool - 'Chisel'. The intention was to create a solid wooden chair with a distinctive silhouette that endures through time and remains simple and timeless. Developed with optimal craftsmanship and ergonomics in mind, the chair’s soft, organic seat and backrest provide good support in a visually inviting way, complemented by angled legs that echo the chisel references with their characteristically bevelled edges. Ideal for the home for a cosy corner or commercial environment where hard-wearing properties are essential.
