The Fritz Hansen Vico Duo Dining Chair by Italian designer Vico Magistretti offers a refined interpretation of contemporary seating.
Designed in 1997, the chair is defined by its crisp lines, understated silhouette and carefully balanced proportions.
A pressure-moulded veneer seat rests on a slim steel frame, creating a lightweight design that works effortlessly in both residential and commercial interiors. Available in oak and walnut finishes, the Vico Duo brings natural warmth to dining spaces while maintaining a clean, architectural aesthetic. Its stackable construction also makes it a practical choice for interiors where flexibility and efficient storage are important. The chair's shell showcases the character of the wood, with oak offering a lighter, more understated appearance and walnut providing a deeper, richer tone. A black powder-coated steel frame creates a subtle contrast with the wooden seat, emphasising the chair's clean lines without adding visual weight.
The combination pairs naturally with solid wood dining tables, minimalist furniture and contemporary interiors. The Vico Duo is designed to work across a variety of environments, from dining rooms and kitchens to meeting rooms, cafés and hospitality settings. Its lightweight appearance allows multiple chairs to sit comfortably around a table, while the stackable design makes storage easier when seating is not required. For projects requiring a different aesthetic, alternative frame finishes and upholstery options may be available on request.
