The Fritz Hansen N02-11 Recycle Armchair, designed by Japanese design studio Nendo, combines contemporary styling with a thoughtful approach to material reuse.
Its gently curved seat, integrated armrests and distinctive folded-paper-inspired backrest create a welcoming silhouette for modern dining rooms, offices and commercial interiors.
Made using upcycled household plastic, the N02-11 offers a practical alternative to traditional dining armchairs. Its sculptural shell is paired with powder-coated steel legs and armrests in a matching colour, giving the chair a coordinated appearance that works beautifully in contemporary spaces. A defining feature of the design is the crease running down the backrest, inspired by a folded sheet of paper on Nendo's studio table. This subtle detail adds character while helping the backrest provide support to the upper and lower back. The integrated armrests create a more enclosed seating position, making the chair particularly suited to dining tables, meeting rooms and collaborative workspaces. The shell is manufactured from household plastic waste collected, processed and upcycled in central Europe. Designed with material reuse in mind, the plastic can be recycled again at the end of its useful life. The N02 Recycle collection has also received the EU Ecolabel, reflecting its environmental credentials.
Available in a selection of colours inspired by Scandinavian nature, the N02-11 allows you to coordinate the seat, legs and armrests for a consistent finish. Choose a neutral shade for a subtle interior scheme or introduce colour to create a more distinctive dining arrangement. Despite its integrated arms, the chair is designed with practicality in mind. Up to ten chairs can be stacked when not in use, helping to maximise available space in homes, meeting rooms and hospitality environments. Its durable shell and easy-care materials make it suitable for everyday use.
Materials: The N02™ Recycle shell is made from recycled house hold waste. Powder coated steel legs and armrest in matching colour to shell. Stackable 10 chairs. The N02™ Recycle chair has earned the prestigious EU-Ecolabel.
