The shapely Little Giraffe chair was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen for the restaurant at the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. It is defined by its elegant, comfortable and supportive high backrest.

Materials:Shell is made of a combination of moulded hard and soft (MDI) polyurethane foam, reinforced with steel frame and glass fibre enforcement edges. Fabric comes with a removable cover. Star Shaped base with castors made of polished aluminium and satin chromed steel. Castors with aluminium housing (height adjustable with tilt mechanism).

Christianshavn - Fritz Hansen is proud to have created a wool textile with a soft touch. Christianshavn is produced in a combination of 85% wool & 15% nylon with a Martindale of 200.000 yet with a non-wool handle and a soft brushed finish. Christianshavn is offered in 26 different colours

Grace Leather - Analine leather has a natural nude surface, with a light wax treatment, where all natural markings are visible. This emphasizes the unique character of the leather and adds a rustic charm to the furniture. Grace and other aniline leathers are more susceptible to dirt and grime, compared with pigmented leather. The leather will change with time through use and exposure to light and quickly gains a beautiful patina.

The legendary Arne Jacobsen trained as an architect in Copenhagen. His most famous buildings include Arhus Town Hall in Denmark, the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and St Catherine's College in Oxford England. His experiments into plywood resulted in the Ant chair in 1952.

The work on the SAS Royal Hotel resulted in some of his most outstanding designs, including the Egg and Swan chairs, a stainless steel cutlery set now made by silver manufacturer Georg Jensen and a series of lamps, manufactured by &Tradition and Louis Poulsen. A perfectionist and a master of detail, Jacobsen worked right up to his death in 1971. In central London, his Royal Danish Embassy on Sloane Street was completed only in 1977. He was one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century architects & designers.
