The Fritz Hansen Clam Pendant Light brings a contemporary twist to a more traditional aesthetic. The Clam's mouth-blown glass shades resemble a pair of seashells while the working mechanisms draw from the traditional functionality of an oil lamp.
Created by design duo Ahm & Lund, the design is the winner of Denmark's Next Classic, a televised national competition showcasing the design talents of the future. The Clam Pendant Light can easily be altered with the shades sliding open with the brushed brass fittings to adjust the ambience and atmosphere of any living space.
Materials: Opal glass shade with brushed brass fittings that open or close the shades. Untreated brass suspension and canopy. Please note the untreated brass will patinate over time, creating a unique, vintage feel. Each shade is individually made and variations in the glass, including air bubbles, may occur. Cord and wire in black textile.
