The design of Flos Tatou Table Light is inspired by classic antique Japanese armour. The name 'Tatou' is French for armadillo.
The 'shell' protects direct light to the eyes and produces a harmonic play on light and shadow through the perforated sections. This is made up of four identical elements which are all interwoven to form a unified dome shape which diffuses light both up and down. The Black version gives off a burgundy hue when its on and the Ochre Grey version gives off a copper hue. Tatou also comes in suspension - S1 (smaller version) and S2 (larger version) and a floor version.
