An alluring bold statement piece, the Flos Arrangements is an exquisite work of art as well as a stunning lighting arrangement. With individual elements joining together in a spectrum of unique compositions, creating a remarkable hanging chain, the possibilities are endless. Crafted from matt black painted aluminium and mouth-blown glass, this particular combination consists of two elements, a small circle and a large line. Ideally placed above a dining table or within a vast open space, its innovative composition is sure to fascinate and intrigue people whilst beautifully illuminating your space. Michael Anastassiades has a masters Degree in Industrial Design from the Royal College of Art in London. After working freelance with various renowned Design practices he set up his own studio in 1994. Since then, he has been exploring contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. Playfully positioned between fine Art and Design his unique, yet discreet work seeks to provoke dialogue, participation and interaction out of what would normally be a series of, inanimate, mundane utilitarian objects. Using a minimal language he personalises these objects, giving them identity and vitality they might otherwise not possess. His work is featured in the permanent collections of the MoMA (New York) the V&A (London) and the Crafts Council (London). His products for Flos are fast becoming design classics with there magical and elegant design.
