The Flos Almendra S2 Y Short Suspension Light designed by Patricia Urquiola is creative and forward thinking in that it is assembled with total absence of glued components so that it can be completely separated for future recyclability. This version of the Flos Almendra Suspension Light is offered with a soft arch that resembles a Y shape. The lights shade resembles two shells of an open almond and can be positioned upwards or downwards to create the desired ambient lighting effect.

Material:Tubular structure made of aluminium and CNC aluminium terminals with matt or metallized finish. Edge Lighting technology integrated. Light units can be turned by steps of 60º within the structure in order to change the direction of the light emitted. Metal rosette with matte white finish. The integrated electronics in the ceiling rose allow the use of different dimming systems.

Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo (Spain), and she lives and works in Milan. She studied Architecture at the Technical University of Madrid and at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she graduated in 1989 under Achille Castiglioni. In 2001 she opened her own studio, working in the fields of product design, interiors and architecture.
