The Case Tanso Armchair, designed by David Irwin, brings a relaxed sophistication to outdoor dining through its combination of natural teak, considered proportions and Japanese-inspired simplicity.
With its sculptural wooden frame and integrated armrests, this contemporary dining armchair offers a welcoming place to sit while adding warmth and character to outdoor spaces.
Crafted from Grade A teak, the Tanso Armchair showcases the beauty of natural timber through its subtle grain, warm tones and carefully finished surfaces. Renowned for its durability and natural weather resistance, teak is particularly well suited to outdoor furniture, allowing the chair to be enjoyed on terraces, patios and in garden dining areas. Its refined aesthetic also makes it an elegant choice for indoor settings. The generously proportioned seat and supportive armrests provide a comfortable setting for leisurely meals and relaxed conversation. An optional cushion, featuring polyester filling and a UV- and mould-resistant Textilene cover, adds another layer of comfort while offering practical performance for outdoor use.
Part of the Case Tanso collection, this armchair pairs beautifully with the coordinating round or rectangular dining tables. Its understated design creates a harmonious balance between furniture and surroundings, whether arranged around a dining table or used as an occasional chair on a covered terrace. Designed by David Irwin, the Tanso Armchair reflects a thoughtful approach to contemporary furniture, where natural materials, durability and everyday comfort come together in a timeless form.
