The Gravel rug combines beautiful un-dyed wool fibres with an unusual and unexpected weaving technique that brings depth and texture to this unique design.
The designer Nina Brunn looked to nature when designing the rug and the values that make a house a home - to be warm, welcoming and comfortable. Crafted with care the Gravel rug is made up of soft loops that alternate in size and evoke the feeling of walking on a pebbled beach. From a distance the surface of the rug appears to ripple like a cornfield swaying with the wind. The tactile surface is achieved using a technique whereby tonal wool yarns of varying sizes are looped into tufts.
