Grand Repos introduces a new degree of comfort to the world of home furniture: its backrest and seat surface can be moved to different opening angles – from a comfortable sitting position to a relaxed reclined position – by means of a synchronous mechanism hidden in the interior of the upholstery. The armchair can be locked into any desired position.

Antonio Citterio

Antonio Citterio was born in the Italian city of Meda in 1950. He opened his own studio in 1972 and completed his degree in architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1975. He has created some modern masterpieces with companies such as Kartell, Vitra, Flos and many more. In his long career he has been awarded numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1995. He was named 'Royal Designer for Industry' by the London-based Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in 2008.
