    Niels Hvass is a Danish furniture designer guided by use. His work centres on the experience of the person who lives with the object - how it feels, how it functions, how naturally it fits into daily life.His approach is direct. Honest materials, clear intention, and a belief that design should engage without excess. Not to impress, but to endure.Born in 1958, he co-founded the Strand + Hvass studio in 1991 with Christina Strand. Alongside his practice, he has contributed to the field as a teacher and as a member of various arts committees and boards. A designer shaped by clarity and purpose - creating objects that are both considered and quietly compelling.
