Using renewable and durable materials to create timeless furniture designs. The Mat Chair’s striking shell is a combination of hemp, eelgrass and a biodegradable polymer binder to create something entirely new. This new and unique design can be returned to Normann Copenhagen at the end of it's life to be recycled, further minimising the design’s impact on the environment.
Material: Hemp shell in a unique blend of 75% hemp fibres, with the remaining 25% is recyclable bico binder. Seaweed shell in 69% hemp fibres, 6% eelgrass, and 25% binder. Base in powder-coated steel.
