The Case Dulwich Round Extendable Table, designed by Matthew Hilton, combines timeless craftsmanship with intelligent functionality.
Its elegant circular form creates a welcoming setting for everyday dining, while a clever extension mechanism transforms the table into a larger surface for entertaining family and friends.
Beautifully proportioned and carefully constructed, the Dulwich table showcases the attention to detail that defines Matthew Hilton’s furniture designs. Mitred joints, visible through-tenons in the legs and a refined timber finish demonstrate the quality of its construction, while the clean silhouette allows it to complement both contemporary and classic interiors. Crafted with solid wood legs and a veneered tabletop with solid edging, the table is available in oak or walnut finishes. The natural grain adds warmth and character, while the clear polyurethane lacquer protects the surface and enhances the beauty of the timber.
Designed to adapt to changing needs, the table measures 125 cm in diameter when closed and extends to 175 cm when additional dining space is required. Its integrated extension mechanism allows both halves of the tabletop to open smoothly, revealing a concealed leaf that can be pulled into position to create a larger dining surface. The extension leaf is stored neatly within a felt-lined compartment beneath the table when not in use. The circular shape encourages conversation and creates an intimate dining arrangement, while the extended configuration provides additional room for guests. Seating up to six people, depending on the chairs selected, the Dulwich Round Extendable Table is well suited to family dining, dinner parties and flexible everyday living.
Designed by Matthew Hilton for Case Furniture, the Dulwich range reflects a thoughtful balance of practicality, enduring materials and understated British design. Pair this table with contemporary dining chairs or a coordinating Dulwich bench to create a cohesive and inviting dining space.
