The Normann Copenhagen Bit side table is made up entirely from small bits of 100% recycled household and industrial plastic, it's perfect for adding a pop of colour into your home or outdoor space.
Due to the recycled material that this table is crafted from, each one will be slightly unique and one of a kind. It is perfect to use as a bedside table, cluster together with the Bit Coffee Tablefor a quirky living room table setting or simply as a design statement inside or out. Inspired by distinctive shapes such as monoliths and columns, designer Simon Legald’s take on the side table is both bold and multi-functional. The defined, utilitarian look contrasts with the eye-catching pixelated surface made up of small bits of 100% recycled plastic.
Material: The Bit collection is made using a rotational moulding technique with flexible thermoplastic Low Density Polyethylene Industrial Waste (LDPE). It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, withstanding temperatures from -10°C to +50°C
Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
