The Utility Bar Stool designed in 1956 was originally custom-built as seating for L.Ercolani’s team of designers when sketching in the factory.
Today, some seventy years later, the stool remains a favourite of creators everywhere. A classic characteristic of traditional Windsor craftsmanship, the Utility Bar Stool features tapered, outward-facing legs and a moulded ash seat that accentuates the stool’s agile build. Additionally, the Utility Bar Stool boasts the iconic Windsor joint - a trademark detail found in many of Lucian Ercolani’s early works. The Loveseat is made in solid ash in a warm natural Dead Matt finish and the new Modern Tones series of colours by Christian Møller Andersen.

Lucian Randolph Ercolani was an Italian furniture designer born in St Angelo in Tuscany, Italy. In later life he emigrated to London with his family. He began his career in furniture manufacture with the Salvation Army joinery department, later joining Frederick Parker. He went on to form Ercol in 1920.
