The HAY Ethan Cook Flat Works Rug brings contemporary artwork into the home through an expressive combination of colour, pattern and traditional weaving techniques.
Designed by American artist Ethan Cook, the collection translates his distinctive abstract compositions and bold geometric artwork into a series of decorative floor coverings that combine artistic character with everyday practicality.
Handwoven using a blend of New Zealand wool and organic cotton, the Flat Works Rug features carefully arranged blocks of colour that create a striking graphic appearance. Its flat-woven construction gives the surface a lightweight, tactile quality, while the contrasting colour combinations introduce visual interest without compromising versatility. Subtle variations created during the dyeing and weaving processes ensure that every rug has its own individual character, making each piece slightly unique.
Ideal for adding personality to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and creative interiors, the HAY Ethan Cook Flat Works Rug offers an alternative to more traditional floor coverings. Combining contemporary textile design with skilled craftsmanship, it provides a distinctive finishing touch for modern homes.
Materials: New Zealand wool, cotton. The dyeing and weaving processes means that each rug varies slightly, giving them a unique, one-of-a-kind quality.
