The SCP Bruno Armchair has an unusual design that has one arm lower than the other and acknowledges the changes in the culture of sitting. Inspired by Bruno Munari's celebrated 1944 poster 'Seeking Comfort in an Uncomfortable Chair', the Bruno chair is intended to accommodate new gestures and a different language of sitting.
The form of the chair itself is notable for having one arm partially open and lower than the other just low enough to become somewhere for the leg or knee to rest comfortably. The chair offers elegant curves with a simple design of good proportion, one that is responsive to human scale and movement. The lower arm can be specified either left or right orientation.
