The inner design of the shade of Flos Skygarden light is based on ornate cornicing and Marcel Wanders' love for his antique corniced ceiling. So beloved was the view from below that he decided to take a piece of it with him upon moving home.
Marcel Wanders is a Dutch designer, and art director in the Powerhouse studio in Amsterdam, who designs architectural, interior and industrial projects. He became internationally known by his Knotted Chair. Some of his recent designs include lighting for Flos and furniture for Magis.
