The Normann Copenhagen Bit stool Stack is made up entirely from small bits of 100% recycled household and industrial plastic, it's perfect for adding a pop of colour into your home or outdoor space.
Due to the recycled material that this stool is crafted from, each stool will be slightly unique and one of a kind. It is perfect to use as an occasional stool when extra seating is needed, a bedside table, a footstool or simply as a design statement inside or out. Inspired by distinctive shapes such as monoliths and columns, designer Simon Legald’s take on the stool is both bold and multi-functional. The defined, utilitarian look contrasts with the eye-catching pixelated surface made up of small bits of 100% recycled plastic.
Material: The Bit Stool collection is made using a rotational moulding technique with flexible thermoplastic Low Density Polyethylene Industrial Waste (LDPE). It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, withstanding temperatures from -10°C to +50°C
Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
