The Normann Copenhagen Stretch Stool has an uncomplicated, familiar design and is a beautiful example of contemporary Scandinavian design.
Simon Legald has stripped back the stool to a bare minimum to create a minimalist stool in tactile solid pine. The pine is protected with a UV lacquer to stop over yellowing but the stool will still acquire an individual patina over time. Perfect not only as a stool but as a bedside table or side table.
Material:100% UV-lacquered pine. The pine material has been coated with a UV varnish that effectively inhibits any discoloration or yellowing over extended periods.
Dimensions:Height: 45cm x Width: 40cm x Depth: 40cm
Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
