The Normann Copenhagen Plank Bookcase High is crafted from full-length pine wood planks giving it a simple and pared back aesthetic.
The Plank range is coated with a UV varnish which inhibits discolouring and yellowing. Over time, the durable and welcoming appeal of the pine wood will develop a stunning patina, further enhancing its natural charm. Available in three variants, the collection offers storage solutions in three different sizes ranging from a large bookcase to a long, low one that in addition to storage, can be used as a bench.

Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
