Samurai is a modern lounge chair, made from turned oak timber sections with the seat and back in high quality saddle leather. Whilst studying hunting chairs of the mid-20th century, designers Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl came up with a modern interpretation of the low-slung hunting chair type, with construction inspired by Japanese simplicity combined with the Danish stick chairs of the 1950’s.
Samurai comes in a beautiful saddle leather from Sorensen Leathers which will age and patine beatifully over time. The leather folds around the chair like armour and carries the body with ease. The seat is mounted with brass rivets in order to achieve maximum strength, whilst the back is mounted with adjustable leather straps and brass buckles. This stunning chair is handmade in Denmark in proud Danish furniture tradition.
