This elegant Elephant stool designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl offers timeless design from Scandinavian company NORR11. The Elephant Stool is a minimal piece of furniture and offers the perfect accompiniment to the Norr11 Elephant Chair. The stool suits a wide range of purposes, functioning both as an ottoman for the Elephant Chair and as a lounge stool on its own. The Elephant Stool comes with a seat of moulded oak veneer, resting on a wooden base of solid oak. This version of the stool is finished in an aged vintage leather, providing a unique appearance.

Materials: Solid Oak frame, seat and back of laminated Oak veneer. Upholstered in Dunes leather. Dunes is a really soft leather that uses a special process involving sanding, buffing and applying a special type of leather oil to the surface gives it that almost velvety touch. At the same time, Dunes boasts a matt look that’s raw with a touch of understated elegance. Part of Dunes’ extra appeal are the subtle, natural markings which bring a unique personality to each hide. The leather boasts a patina that will appear over time as a result of the leather’s exposure to daylight, interior lighting and usage. In fact, the more you use Dunes, the more the leather becomes shinier and smoother.

After working in the fashion industry for many years, Tommy Hyldahl founded the Scandinavian label Norr11 in 2011, following his passion for interior design. His work focuses on his interest in materials and manufacture, which is reflected in the carefully thought-out collection. Co-designer Kristian Sofus Hansen studied architecture and design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. In his designs traditional design methods merge with innovative production techniques to create high-quality furniture and objects.
