Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, the NORR11 Elephant Chair in Sheepskin, is a modern interpretation of Scandinavian minimalism combined with Japanese aesthetics. The stunning result is a light and elegant lounge chair where the Elephant ear shaped back gently curves around the body providing superior comfort.
The chair is handcrafted with a solid oak wood frame, whilst the seat and back are made from the highest quality compression moulded oak veneer shells. The two shells are pressed in the same press mould and surround the body in a light soft curve. The legs are designed as one single profile without any visible joints, enriching the experience of the material strength and exchange between the light and heavy dimensions. Upholstered in an inviting, warming sheepskin, the Elephant chair adds a luxurious addition to any environment offering years of comfort and style.
Materials: Solid Oak frame, seat and back of laminated Oak veneer. Upholstered in scandilock sheepskin curly 17mm in either off-white or graphite grey.

After working in the fashion industry for many years, Tommy Hyldahl founded the Scandinavian label Norr11 in 2011, following his passion for interior design. His work focuses on his interest in materials and manufacture, which is reflected in the carefully thought-out collection. Co-designer Kristian Sofus Hansen studied architecture and design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. In his designs traditional design methods merge with innovative production techniques to create high-quality furniture and objects.
