The Audo Copenhagen Penguin Rocking Chair takes inspiration from the American modernists of the 1950s and 1960s. This sublime rocking chair is so beautiful that it can be displayed as a work of art in any interior space.

  • Materials:  Powder coated steel frame, curved plywood, oak veneer and solid black ash base. The upholstered seat is produced by gluing foam onto the bended plywood shell upon which the textile or leather is mounted. Available in fabrics - Kvadrat Re-Wool (45% new wool worsted, 45% recycled wool, 10% nylon)

Ib Kofod-Larsen was a Danish architect and furniture designer who began his design career after gaining an architecture degree from the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen. In 1948, he opened his own design studio and along with many other design icons such as Hans J. Wegner, Kaare Klint, Børge Mogensen and Finn Juhl became an important representative of Danish Modernism. He had lots of international success in the 1950's and became one of the most successful and best-selling designers in Europe and America.
